Casa Rondeña Winery, nestled in the serene Village of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, is renowned for its blend of tradition, craftsmanship, and artistry. Established in 1995 by John Calvin, the winery reflects his vision of creating not just exceptional wines but a destination for wine lovers seeking a breathtaking experience for both wine and gatherings.
A native of the Rio Grande Valley, John Calvin’s passion for world music led him to study classical Indian music and Flamenco in southern Spain. There, he began to form the philosophy that wine is another way to coax the diverse elements of nature and earth into harmony. With this philosophy in mind, John tends the vines and his winemaking with the same degree of respect and passion.
Jaramillo Vineyards is located in the Middle Rio Grande Valley of New Mexico. Its vineyards are some of the largest in the state and produce a wide array of styles and tastes. Robert and Barb continue to travel and drink some of the best wines in the world. Jaramillo Vineyards has a modern, inviting tasting room in the historic 1909 Central Hotel in Belen, NM, 6 miles from its winery and vineyards.
Owners Robert and Barbara Jaramillo’s winery grew out of Robert’s first dream to fly planes. By age 16, he became a licensed pilot. These international legs provided him with the opportunity to taste and enjoy some of the best wines in the world. This pursuit of knowledge has led to perfecting their personal style of fruit-forward, smooth and pleasantly finished wines in dry, off-dry and the sweeter styles enjoyed by the local community
The word Luna Rossa, meaning “Red Moon”, or “blood moon” in the New World, refers to the rare event when a full moon provides a total eclipse of the sun. This extraordinary event can happen in wine when the best vineyards are tended carefully to create a wine that ignites awe in those who experience it.
Luna Rossa was founded in 2001 by Italians Paolo and Sylvia D’Andrea. They moved from their family winemaking lands in northeastern Italy to build a new wine tradition in New Mexico. This family tradition continues with three new generations in New Mexico. Son Marco has specialised as a winemaker, and his father oversees some of the largest vineyards in New Mexico. Luna Rossa restaurant in Las Cruces, run by Sylvia, showcases the deep connections between food and wine embedded in the Italian way of life.
Rio Grande Winery is passionate about creating wines that capture the essence New Mexico’s lands. Each wine embodies the spirit of Rio Grande Winery—crafted with care, designed for enjoyment, and perfect for any occasion.

Vivác Winery is the creation of brothers Jesse and Chris Padberg and their wives, Michele and Liliana Padberg. In November of 1998 Jesse and Chris embarked on a new mission “to make the best wine possible and have a good time doing it!” This meant professionally crafted, world-ranked, dry red wines; a first for New Mexico. Their journey would prove to be one that required dedication, devotion, sacrifice and courage.
The foursome found inspiration in European countries and were especially drawn to Old World wine culture, where winemaking is a dance between art and science. Through extensive global travel and mentorships with other local winemakers, they learned about the wine business in Northern New Mexico.
Great winemaking starts in the vineyard, which is what Jesse and Chris Padberg have done. With a thorough knowledge of vineyard management from rootstock and trellising to microclimates and vine nutrition, Chris and Jesse have created three different Estate Vineyards through test plots and research, allowing them to craft wines that stand out from the crowd. Their vast comprehension of winemaking techniques allows Jesse and Chris to shape the Vivác wines into International Award Winners and wines that, when tasted blind, are believed to be from some of the world’s most prestigious wine-making regions.
Wines of the San Juan thrive in northern New Mexico’s arid landscape, where the Arnold family preserves the pioneering spirit of land stewardship. Surrounded by sandstone canyons, swaying cottonwoods, and beauty of the San Juan River.
From humble beginnings, they’ve grown into a multi-generational vineyard of international renown, embodying a legacy of determination, generosity, and family values.
Joshua Arnold’s journey into winemaking began in 1999, when his parents, David and Marcia Fisher purchased a plot of land in Turley, NM and set out to create Wines of the San Juan. With his father as mentor, he apprenticed as assistant winemaker until 2013, and through the years, the team earned recognition both nationally and internationally for their wines. He assumed the role of head winemaker in the spring of 2013, and has since been awarded many medals for his wines at international wine competitions, such as the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition and the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition, as well as receiving 90+ point ratings from one of the world’s most influential wine critics, James Suckling. With his robust, fruit forward wines, Joshua is passionately producing a high quality product for the New Mexico wine industry.
